Owner specifications and sour service
Oil, gas and petrochemical owners in Saudi Arabia publish their own materials system specifications, which purchase orders often reference in addition to ASTM, ASME and API standards. These specifications typically add requirements such as tighter chemistry and carbon equivalent limits, impact testing at a set temperature, hardness limits, ultrasonic testing, positive material identification and specific marking. We review the specification named in each enquiry and confirm which requirements can be met before quoting.
Much of the gas produced in the Kingdom is sour, so material for these lines can be supplied to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 on request, with the hardness controls and testing the standard requires. Shipments leave from Mumbai and Nhava Sheva (JNPT) for King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, Jubail Commercial Port and Jeddah Islamic Port, and urgent consignments can go by air freight. We quote on EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF terms, and transit time is confirmed with each quotation. Documents include the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading and MTC, with attestation and any import conformity documents the buyer requires. Third-party inspection by the buyer's nominated agency can be arranged before dispatch.
