EN, DIN and PED requirements

For the German market, material is supplied to European standards – for example EN 10216-5 seamless and EN 10217-7 welded stainless tubes, EN 10028-7 stainless plates, EN 1092-1 flanges and EN 10253 fittings – or dual certified to EN and ASTM, using European material numbers such as 1.4404, 1.4571 and 1.4462. For pressure equipment placed on the European market, materials must meet the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014/68/EU, and pressure equipment items can be supplied to PED 2014/68/EU where required. Please state the standard, material number and the type of inspection document required in the enquiry, so that the certification can be confirmed with the mill before ordering.

Standards, specifications and sour service

We review the specification named in each enquiry – the owner's or EPC contractor's material requirements, supplementary testing, marking and documentation – and confirm which requirements can be met before quoting. Material for sour service can be supplied to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 on request. Our company is certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, and mill test certificates (MTC) are supplied with all material.

Shipping to Germany

Shipments leave from Nhava Sheva (JNPT) near Mumbai for Hamburg and Bremerhaven, and urgent consignments can go by air freight to Frankfurt. We quote on EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF terms, and transit time is confirmed with each quotation. Material is packed for sea freight in bundles, wooden boxes and crates with ISPM 15 treated wood, and each package is marked to the buyer's instructions. Documents include the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading and MTC, with attestation or legalisation where the buyer requires it. Third-party inspection by the buyer's nominated agency can be arranged before dispatch.

Traceability

Every item carries its heat number and is traceable to its mill test certificate, which is essential for European pressure equipment documentation.
